At What Cost?
Exploring the impact of Georgian landscape gardener, Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown’s work on black, asian and minority ethnic communities from the past to modern day.
Six artists are exploring the political, social and economic conditions surrounding the era of Brown’s work at Warwick Castle particularly focussing on the impact of the transatlantic slave trade.
Each performance artist has been partnered up with a visual artist, here are their pairs.

Aliyah Hasinah was the producer of #AtWhatCost and worked with the artists to produce the end showcase. Aliyah is a poet, producer, writer and much more. She was our former Marketing Apprentice in 2014 and now is a freelancer and works nationally.
We exhibited the artists work in Warwick Castle on the 1st of October to celebrate Black History Month, and explore black histories that aren't often spoken about.
