Level UP is one of those rare nights that brings people from the whole country together to loudly enjoy poetry. There’s no half-hearted clapping here, this is full force ferocious energy off and on stage. One of the best poetry nights in the UK.

Jasmine Gardosi: Season 3

Deanna Rodger: Season 2

It was a fantastic privileged to perform on the Level UP stage and to also witness the vital work they do in sparking and nurturing young people’s involvement with poetry. Level UP has a real community warmth, something that is impossible to build overnight.

It was really inspiring to see so much energy and passion for spoken word and poetry amongst such a young crowd. I think it’s incredibly valuable to have an open, neutral and accepting space where young people feel supported to read their work. The quality of the open mic was some of the best I’ve ever had the pleasure to watch and it was lovely seeing how kind and supportive the audience were.
