Ways to get home

When you're lost, turn right.

When you're heartbroken, sit down.

When you're ill, get a cab.

When you're tired, get the bus and stay on the phone to someone

When you're sad, go get some food with some friends

When you're happy, go get some food with some friends

When you're lonely, ask yourself why

When you're alone, appreciate the time.

When you're home, have a shower, rest and cuddle the cat next to you.

Things in my pocket

My mobile phone buzzing as if to say give up.

Old tissue that has been washed in these jeans.

Another mobile phone when I don't want to talk to anyone but still feel around.

A sheesha pen for when I want to act like I don't smoke.

An empty fag box, because I've run out.

A lighter, for when it's dark..

Chapstick to smoothen my lips.

A wallet to keep me going.

5 ways to raise a child

Let it see the world, don't hide the ugly and only show them the beautiful - they will grow up and become overwhelmed of the truth.

Let them run around naked for as long as they want - they'll never be allowed to again.

Let them tell you stories, and you write them down in Haikus and read them back when they grow up.

Take them to your home, don't differentiate any of it - they can choose where home is or say no to both.

Tell them you love them as much as you can, every time their heart breaks they'll know they still have you.

My shopping cart is full of:

your misplaced pride

bananas that are not made for this climate

I am me, not you. (For Madi)

Do I have to write another couple hundred times?
