Theatre for Democracy Ladywood - This August
There are questions that surround our political system and whether it is broken. Can we still fix it? Should we take it down and start again? Can we make our voices heard by the powers that be?
Theatre for Democracy is about people power.
For 5 days this summer holidays, work with a group of other local young people to explore an issue you all care about and find ways of putting it into drama and theatre.
What we produce over the week we’ll put into a performance that we plan together, to be performed on the Friday, inviting the decision makers in the city who should be hearing our opinions.
In a society where certain voices are louder than others, speak and be heard.
No experience in theatre, politics or performance necessary.
The workshops are built on the belief that everyone should be able to express themselves and that we should challenge what theatre and democracy mean.
