Six artists explored the impact of Georgian landscape gardener, Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown’s work on black, asian and minority ethnic communities from the past to modern day at Warwick Castle particularly focusing on the transatlantic slave trade.

Art For Change

Art for Change aims to collect enough monetary donations in order to offer refugee artists in Calais the means to create work based on their experiences.
After all documentation is a means for us to capture our most human experiences and in so doing share our humanity. 


BACE is a weekly creative development programme for young people aged 13-21 to explore creativity through training followed by an original community showcase. Developing critical life and employability skills through our C.R.E.A.T.E. values system.

BMAG Residency

We worked with Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery over the summer to populate the Gas Hall with young people. We delivered four events from Dinner with Strangers, Poets Under The Stars, Poetry and Paint and Nexus.

Equinox: Mixed Media Festival

Equinox was a pioneering mixed media festival, engaging and empowering young people to connect with film, photography and design through outreach workshops and screenings in their local community. Ending in a showcase awards evening in Birmingham City Centre.

Flatpack Film Festival

Build Your Own Film Night is a series of 5 workshops designed to upskill young people to develop their own community film sharing. Get access to films, understand programming & licensing and put on your own event.

RSA Hubs

We're working with 4 RSA Academies to create self-sustaining vocal clubs through a series of train-the-teachers, facilitated masterclasses and showcases. Think Pitch Perfect but better...


Routes2Roots was a multimedia campaign questioning what heritage, culture and identity means to young people in Birmingham. Routes2Roots supported young people, heritage organisations and youth groups to apply for £10,000-£50,000 to explore heritage with HLF.

A family friendly event for Midlands people who want to share and listen to stories of how racism, hate crime and other forms of discrimination has affected them and their families/friends in poetry, personal stories, readings, video, pictures, drama/short performances.

Southside Producers

Southside Producers is a collective of young creative producers developing, learning and growing their practice by putting on awesome events across Birmingham. From launching the Year of Arts and Young People 2016 for Birmingham City Council through to helping to produce B-Side Festival for the Hippodrome, Southside Producers are on the rise!

The Social Exchange

The Social Exchange is an explosive and immersive festival in collaboration with mac birmingham. A creative marketplace to share and celebrate youth culture and social action across the country. The one day festival is packed with masterclasses, performances, talks and surgeries as well as over 50 stallholders.

Unity Jams

In 3 cities, over 48 hours, young people will be guided through a creative but strategic design-led process: learning new things, improving skills, bouncing ideas off one another to co-creator with their peers.  







Verbalise was a city wide development programme for emerging young artists to develop their skills in spoken word, poetry, rap and storytelling including a campaign to promote and celebrate the talent in the city through prolific performances and pervasive sharing of work in public spaces.

Words First was a partnership between BBC Radio 1Xtra and the Roundhouse supported by Arts Council England. Beatfreeks and Birmingham Repertory Theatre were the Birmingham partners working with local poets, rappers and spoken word artists to hone their craft with a live performance at the end of the week
