We are also joined by some of Birmingham's incredible talents:
Jordanne Renee is a poet blogger and part-time workshop facilitator. She is often overwhelmed by the term artist as she finds it hard to pigeonhole the work she has created/wishes to create. She is a self proclaimed self love advocate and aims to push messages of positivity and self care through her work. (with particular emphasis on removing the shame from solitude and encouraging people to do things by themselves). Jordanne Renee is a multipotential lite , intersectional feminist, plantain enthusiast, avid tea drinker and sometimes this allows her to make things.
Reuben Field is a 22-year-old spoken-word artist from a small town near Birmingham, and dreams of becoming a published poet. He has been performing for less than a year and his work focuses on social commentary through fictional stories. He creates characters to drive his story, combining rhythmic delivery with narrative. Recently chosen as one of six spoken word artists of Words First BBC 1xtra and Roundhouse.
Hailing from Birmingham town, Namiwa Jazz is an emerging singer/songwriter creating big waves on the live music scene up and down the country. Recently crowned "Vocalist of the Year 2014" by Poetic Essence, and "Best Female singer/songwriter of 2015" at the Midlands Independent Music Awards. Aged just 20, 2014 was a breakthrough year for her… performing in front of thousands at London’s RoundHouse, the Barclays BST in Hyde Park and recently supporting Roxxxan on her Love Music tour. The release of her debut EP, My Garden Of Eden in November finished off was a remarkable year with a bang. 2015 promises big things to come.
