This July, Google and YouTube Creators for Change are running a free digital citizenship workshop for teachers and youth workers – and we’d love you to join us.
About this Event
Be Internet Citizens is a nationwide programme that ISD and Young Giant (Beatfreeks) run in partnership with Google. The programme strives to build young people’s resilience to social issues and empower them to become emotionally mature, critical thinkers and users of a safe and exciting web.
This event, hosted at the YouTube Space in London, is tailored for anyone that works with young people, ie. youth workers, secondary school teachers, local community educators etc.
The day will be jam packed with expert speakers and a panel debate with leaders in tech, education and policy. As well as hands-on training in key concepts such as spotting fake news, dealing with hate speech and understanding why people use ’Us vs Them’ narratives.
This is a chance to up-skill yourself, network with other practitioners and all attendees will receive a free copy of our PSHE Association accredited resources.
