What does it mean to be a politician in this day and age? What is the relationship between decision-makers and the young people they represent?

"Who Wants To Be A Politician" will explore these questions through creativity, play, reflection and discussion, at Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Wednesday 11th July, 6:30 til 8pm.

Over the last few months, Free Radical (a part of the Beatfreeks Collective) have been working with Birmingham Repertory Theatre's Young REP Lightpost group; a company of young African-Caribbean men based in Birmingham who challenge social stigmas associated with young black men, with the aim to create a show to ask, explore and interrogate important questions.

This event will include time for reflection and dialogue from all those who attend, followed by a chance to talk more informally over a light buffet.
