Southside Producers is a creative work experience platform for young people in Birmingham to develop and try out the skills needed to produce arts events in the city

A strong and skilled collective of young emerging producers aged 16 - 25 formed by a partnership between Beatfreeks and The Old Rep. They are passionate about creative and producing innovative arts-based events that raise the profile of Birmingham.

Working with The Old Rep and Beatfreeks, Southside Producers will be curating the Birmingham Weekender’s Culture Catwalk stage on 22-24th September 2017.

The Birmingham Weekender is Brum's biggest arts festival and features an awe-inspiring programme of free events from hundreds of world-class West Midlands and international artists and companies.

The festival returns following the success of the first festival in 2015! This is your chance to shape and programme the Culture Catwalk stage.

Southside Producers will begin with a series of masterclasses in producing, and events management skills; to then be put to the test curating the Culture Catwalk.

The sessions will be at  iCentrum, Innovation Birmingham, Holt St, B7 4BB 5.30pm - 8.30pm every Tuesday evening starting 2nd May.
